[M] Michelle's Article From Star's Cafe@The Sun
Don't Cry Over Men As Such
Article By Michelle Ye
Translation By Little_Purple_Bell
Before writing this article, I'm going to very clearly express that I don't have a personal friendship with Fiona Yuen nor Anne Heung, so this article that I'm writing right now doesn't have any biased statements towards these two women. The reason that this all came to me was when I saw two news articles when reading an entertainment magazine. (I usually don't read entertainment magazines, but my assistant gave it to me that day, informing that there's a report made about myself, so I took a look at the magazine.) The news articles basically were informing us that both of these female artists had boyfriends who broke up with them because they "couldn't take the pressure from the media".
Here, I don't want to discuss of how true these two reports are because entertainment reports are constantly two different things from the truth, so besides the victims, there's no one else who knows the exact truth. But from my own experience of being in the entertainment circle, I could also say with a lot of experience too, if a man tells you that he's giving up on you because he can't take the pressure from the media, then you should might as well call up all your friends and neighbours and send him away with a farewell party because this man is so useless and making up some lame excuse to leave you, then you don't have a reason to even mention him ever again.
Speaking from a point of human nature, then this man should be one who is greedy towards fame, wealth, status, and facial appearances; that would be why he wanted to court a female celebrity out of the blues. But if a woman is allowed to pick a boyfriend from the balances of status, fame, wealth, and appearances, then what makes you think that a man isn't allowed to do so? So the motive of this kind of men isn't wrong. The problem comes in during the process of the love. They enjoy the honour of having such a famous and beautiful girlfriend, and having this artistic woman bring them countless romantic moments and a practical stage of energy. But if it were that perfect, then why would they "not be able to take the pressure" if all that happened were by-standers speaking a few statements that weren't nice towards their ears? From this, we can conclude that it's just an excuse. The real reason could be that this kind of men, after walking near any woman, isn't able to see the halo on top of their head after stepping so closely. After the feeling of freshness has gone by, they would want to make their escape as soon as possible, but because of being extreme of their vanity and don't want to be said to be irresponsible, they would make any kind of possible excuse up .
In conclusion, this kind of men really do make people look down on them. They are definitely not worth the woman to suffer matters of grievance and cry over, or even to the extreme point of leaving the entertainment circle because of such. One should walk the path as you desire and not alter your way of reaching your ideal destination and target because what someone else wants. That is how you will achieve your steadiness and happiness. Don't waste your good youth down on a man who doesn't truly love you! But true love could be accounted to differ, so we'll talk about it next time.

"Rumour Queen" Michelle Ye attended a hairstyle/vehicle conference yesterday. She was also arranged to dance with some foreign male dancers; it appeared to be very intimate. Michelle expressed that she doesn't entirely object to dating foreign males, but strongly noted that she's not a girl who is casual to relationships.
Michelle Ye, Marsha Yuan, Timmy Hung, and Shermon Tang attended the grand opening of "Olaf Mooij" yesterday, and they acted as models to portray many different hairstyles and attracted many passer-bys. Michelle appeared with the identity of special guest and was arranged to dance intimately with foreign male dancers. Afterwards, she said, "We have practiced twice before already. This function is pretty interesting because I'm dancing and doing a catwalk at the same time."
Recently having many rumours, Michelle frankly expressed that she doesn't object to dating foreign males, she said, "I'm not exactly casual to relationships. For example, there was a foreign male asking me out for a date last week, but I ended up rejecting him. I only appear to be open-minded on-screen; I'm quite a conservative person in my personal life."
Michelle had her birthday a while ago, and she revealed that she received many presents. It includes jewelry and a bouquet of 999 white roses, she said, "Because my friends know that I don't like to receive gifts that are too expensive, so they don't give me gifts that are too expensive. Though a friend gave me a bouquet of white roses which was about 10,000HK$, but I liked it."
Also, Marsha expressed that it's been a year since she's attended a function as such. Reporters saw that she has gained a few pounds, Marsha replied that it could be because she's wearing white, but could she be pregnant? Marsha said, "That's impossible because I don't have a boyfriend at the moment."

Stepping into the year of the Dog, it is a very important year towards Raymond Lam, who has been in the showbiz for eight years already. Receiving the Most Improved Male Artist in 2003, Raymond frankly says that he does want his career to be up the rooftops and hopes to take home the Best Male Lead award to become one of the male leads of TVB stepping after Gallen Lo and Louis Koo.
Being from the sign of the Sheep, in the year of the Dog, Raymond will seem to have a lot of gossip; it will be suitable for him to remain silent at most times and best for him to continue working hard. This is also part of Raymond's personal ethics; he hopes for his career to have a brand new start in the year of the Dog. He said, "You can't believe in FungShui completely. If it says that you'll have a good year, then are you just going to sit around for the whole year? If it says it's a bad year, you're still going to have to put some effort in your work. If so, then why don't you just start working from the start and calculate the results after you've done it?"
Raymond says that working in the showbiz is very special, because the results that come out are usually not something you can control, but you must take your chances when they come by. Like he said, "LWOLAP has just been aired now, of course I'd want it to have good ratings. This is a series adapted from a famous novel written by HuangYi. I've been in quite a few of these series that are adapted from this author's novels. The first one was "A Step Into The Past", the second was "Twin Of Brothers", both of these series had good discussion and decent ratings. The first two were good, of course I'd want the third one to make a breakthrough as well. I'd be really happy if it happened."
Having been in many ancient dramas, Raymond expressed that he's most satisfied with his look in LWOLAP as Fung Hung Lit. He said, "The look is very cool and very heroic. In the series, both Charmaine Sheh and Sonija Kwok are in love with me, seeing that, the series does have some reason for one to continue watching. It's a pity that it's only been airing for a bit, and I'm already in KwanMing filming a new series, "TaChi" with Vincent Zhao. Actually when you're working with a person who actually knows how to fight, the pressure is pretty big."
It's already been eight years since Raymond came into the showbiz, after achieving the Most Improved Male in 2003, does he have the heart to take Best Male Lead home too? Raymond frankly responded, "Of course I do! But this series is airing at the beginning of the year, so the chances have already been slimmed down. But I still have La Femme Desperado & Face To Fate for backup. I actually do want to have my career be a blast with one step, but then I look at Gallen Lo and Louis Koo, that they've taken step by step, so I'd say I'm still young and still have the time to work harder."
Being twenty-seven this year, Raymond is still a child at heart. He still likes to go dance or karaoke when he doesn't have to work. The paparazzi have taken photos of Fala Chen and him going to karaoke together, towards this, he explains, "We were really in a group to go to karaoke together that time. Artists who share the same manager often go out together, we're like siblings. They've tried a rumour between Sharon Chan and me as well. Frankly speaking, we're young people. Those are places of where young people get relaxed at. Where else is there? We're just playful friends, absolutely nothing with romance."
Towards romance, Raymond says that it's hard to get into a relationship with someone in the showbiz, has he been hurt before? "I've dated before coming into the showbiz, but I've been single for a long time since. Frankly speaking, there is a sense of avoiding in the showbiz. There had been a producer who didn't like how I'm not very into the scenes when filming romantic scenes, because I really am afraid of staring eye to eye. Towards the females around myself, I always immediately give them a spot to sit at; I'm very clear on whether they are my partners at work or am I taking them as little sisters." But which girls do give an attraction towards Raymond? "A girl who has long hair in a ponytail, who is serious when dealing with matters, and a generous personality would be able to attract me."
Because of filming for series, Raymond often has to leave HK, he frankly says that he's most worried about his mother. He said, "Each time I see my mom, she always tells me to hurry up and take a rest. " Raymond says that his parents often have to leave HK to work as well; therefore, their time of seeing each other is little of little. He says that his mom does ask him sometimes if he's dating, and hopes that a girl would be able to make him soup. Raymond says, "My mom should relax, because her son has a lot of people who are kind to him. Like the lady in the dressing room, she knows that I don't get to drink soup very often, so she gives me some to drink, so mom, don't worry!"

In the past year of the Chicken, Michelle Ye could very well be called "The Queen Of Discussion". Rumours and gossips came one after another for her, but she did receive a lot of popularity from it though. From this, she has learned that it is better than to have someone discussing about you than having no one ask about you at all. It also trained her to have a higher EQ, and could care less about these things.
But during the beginning of the year of the Dog, the red envelope that she wants to receive the most isn't the one from her godfather, Cheng Yu Tung, but it's the one from her managing company's boss, Peter Lam. She explained, "The artists, including me, are the ones who earn money for the company, so it's reasonable to ask for a red envelope from our boss, but it's different with my godfather because I should be the one being filial and respectful towards him!"
Using the time of Chinese New Year, Michelle took a little time off to go back to her hometown in HangZhou, and spent it with her grandparents and mom. Asking if she bought any presents for her family, Michelle said, "I've bought a place for my grandparents to live, and now it's time for me to work harder within my career!"

Gordon Chan's new film, "Honoured Rascal" has officially started filming yesterday afternoon, but its negative news has already raced ahead. One of its cast, Michelle Ye, again couldn't escape from the claws of "rumours", she was said to have been degraded from the first female lead down to the fifth female lead. Towards these reports, Michelle could only smile and push them away.
"Honoured Rascal" has officially started filming yesterday afternoon, its cast including Ronald Cheng, Theresa Fu, Miki Yeung, Ella Koon and Michelle Ye all attended the blessing ceremony, but Pace Wu declared her absence at the last minute.
Yesterday afternoon, Michelle seemed like she had something on her mind the whole time, towards being degraded to a supporting character, Michelle strongly expressed that there was no such thing, "The titles of the gossip magazines nowadays are beyond what you can think of. Towards which of the cast is playing which character, I can only say that I believe in what the director decides." Director Gordon Chan also clears up that there was nothing about switching the characters and casts around and said, "Within my heart, all five of them are female leads. Their screentime is very equal." Also, Michelle once again explains that she doesn't know Chan Kwok Keung and says that the SMS messages posted on the magazines were definitely made up by the media to decept the readers.
Recently, there has been magazines reporting that Miriam Yeung has organized her house according to FungShui to tie Ronald down and get back together with him. After Ronald heard it, he started laughing immediately and expressed that it's impossible. "(What's impossible? Impossible that Miriam would do something like that or impossible for you two to get back together?) Haven't thought about that. In this movie, I have to portray two characters, and I'm already having a hard time. I should take more time to sleep rather than think about this stuff." After the blessing ceremony ended, Michelle immediately rushed over to Macau to attend the EEG Entertainment Hotel's Grand Opening Ceremony. It was said that she was invited by her godfather, Cheng Yu Tung.

Raymond Lam Publicly Rejects Fala Chan & Sharon Chan
Ever since Raymond Lam entered the showbiz, he's been tied up by gossip. Besides having rumours holding him tight, there are also sayings that he has special care from the TVB executives and gets help from his father; therefore, he came to explain each of these rumours during an interview. He frankly expressed that Fala Chan and Sharon Chan, whom he has rumours with at the present time, will not become his girlfriend neither at present nor future time, because they are both not his cup of tea!
Raymond gives a feeling that he's low-profile. Even when facing rumours, he's never explained himself with a very high-profile attitude. He just wants to use practical action to show everyone that he isn't just a rich boy, but wants to create his own career with his talents and abilities. He said, "People who know me will know who I am. My family never questioned me once. As to depending on relations in order to film series, the crew behind the production isn't stupid. If you aren't able to pull it off in the first series, they wouldn't give you a second script.
As Raymond said, talents and abilities will prove everything. Recently, he finally won the "My Favourite Male Lead" award at the Astro Awards with Twin Of Brothers' Kau Chung.
Towards his rumoured girlfriends, Fala Chan and Sharon Chan, Raymond frankly expressed, "We're only friends. I can very certainly say that we won't have any chances of developing a relationship because they aren't my cup of tea. (Then what kind of girls do you like?) I like those who are smart yet know when to play dumb and a girl who can teach me things, but won't appear to be better than me. (That's a really big difficulty!) I agree. (Does she have to be in the showbiz?) No, I think O.L.s (Office Ladies) are pretty good."

Two nights ago, Michelle Ye and Liza Wang appeared at Tsim Shai Tsui to attend a function. Michelle wore an evening gown that revealed her shoulders and acted as the MC of the function. Last Friday, ATV has just finished airing a series, "Central Affairs" starring Michelle; at the ending, there was a scene where she was on a roof and sobbing, sighing that she only has a career yet no romance and attempted to jump off the building, in the end, her father, portrayed by Patrick Tse, persuaded her not to. That night, Liza gave Michelle many compliments of how she portrayed and handled the scene very well. Michelle expressed, "Central Affairs was able to start many discussions of the series among the audience, so it was worth it even if the filming was labourious."

Raymond Lam, Sharon Chan and Charmaine Sheh appeared at Metro Radio yesterday to receive a radio interview, and to promote their new series, "Lethal Weapons Of Love And Passion". Recently, there's been magazines reporting that Raymond went to karaoke with Fala Chan and Sharon was immediately said to be "off the hook" by reporters. Sharon said, "I'm not off the hook; I was never on the hook in the first place!" Raymond then quickly explained that he and Fala are just friends; Sharon also helped him from the side. Raymond said, "It's very common to be going karaoke with a friend; I often go with Charmaine!" Asking if they have any chance to develop a relationship? Sharon answered for him, "No." Cautiously, Raymond answered, "Of course not! (Will you do more avoiding now?) I'll stay away from karaoke then."
Raymond also revealed that he'll be heading to Malaysia tomorrow to attend an awards ceremony and will directly fly over to Kwan Ming to start the filming of his new series, "Tai Chi", for the next several months.

Michelle Ye, Sherming Yiu, Natalie Ng and Stephanie Wang appeared at a function yesterday. Wearing a V-neck dress, Michelle appeared to be the focal point; therefore, the other three come up with different strategies to come against her, and Sherming comes up to steal the camera by revealing her bra when posing sideways.
Having her popularity raised quite a bit this year, Michelle came to New World Centre yesterday to attend a New Year's function and expressed she's not here to volunteer of promoting her Godfather, Cheng Yu Tung's shopping center. When she first appeared, there were many people holding cameras there and some had attempted to try and take photos from the bottom of her dress, which caused a minor disruption. Wearing a mini skirt and V-neck shirt, Sherming didn't want to lose one bit, she constantly made some seductive poses to attract the camera-holders. There was a bra-revealing pose that made almost twenty camera-holders run towards her, even though Natalie and Stephanie tried to attract camera-holders as well, but it didn't appear as successful as Sherming.
Appearing to be very happy, Michelle expressed that even though her Godfather has invited her to go to a New Year's party, her series, "Central Affairs", has a celebration party; therefore, she doesn't know whether she could attend or not; in addition, she immediately has to start filming a romance movie directed by Gordon Chan, making her wish that she knows a splitting technique.
